Product Update: Ensuring accuracy for HMRC

Incorrect authorised signatory details are a common cause of rejected repayment claims by HMRC. These are situations where the signatory details submitted with a claim do not match what is held on HMRC’s systems.

The most common reason for this is a change of officer situation where details are updated on Fund Filer but HMRC is not informed, or vice versa.

This new update eases matters by producing a pop-up window whenever signatory details are changed, reminding users that Fund Filer information must match HMRC information, as shown below. When changing officers, HMRC requires a CHV1 Change of Officers form to be completed. The pop-up also provides a handy link to this form.
